Sunday started out great with Brandon qualifying 7th which is the best he has ever qualified at Montgomery. Brandon felt really good after 2 laps of practice on Saturday before the rain came and was really looking forward to racing on Sunday. However, luck was not with him , as he was passing a car for 5th place, the other car didn't know he was there and sent Brandon for a spin toward the turn 4 wall. After the spin Brandon had to go to the rear and was moving back toward the front again. On lap 10 a couple of cars wrecked in front of Brandon and with no where to go Brandon was involved in a more serious wreck which took him out the race. Unfortunately, due to the lack of funds, Brandon doesn’t see a race close in his future but is shooting for September.
